Japan

For four, wonderful, years I lived and worked as an English teacher for The Japan Exchange and Teaching  (J.E.T.) Program,  in Susaki City, a small town on the southern coast of Kochi Prefecture. While there, I was fortunate enough to have full access to my school’s ceramics studio. The time to practice on my own while exploring Japan’s landscapes, foods, culture, history, ceramics, and arts was essential to me becoming who I am today. The J.E.T. Program is a fantastic program that has my undying gratitude and support for giving me four of the best years of my life, and introducing me to Japan’s best kept secret, Kochi Prefecture.
